Inspiration Board :: Black Lace and Blush Pink

Happy Monday!

We have a June bride we are designing for and we’ve just started the process so I though I’d share what we’ve been working with.  She’s still torn about the exact color scheme but knows that she is wearing a traditional veil and changing into a blush pink gown for the reception.  I love that!  She also knows she wants lace incorporated.

Today we have one inspiration board that we worked on for her.  I have a feeling she’s leaning more towards this one since she likes texture and glam.

Black Lace + Blush Pink

Love the drama and the impact it will make on guests when they first step in.  Do you like this?  Hate it?

Inspiration Board :: White Lace and Ombre Pink!

Hello!

Here is our second board as promised for one of our June brides.  With less black, it’s a little less dramatic and a little more chic.

Personal :: Maternity Shoot

I get to share my maternity shoot this week because this is THE week!  My due date is December 13th but I’ve been willing her to come 12-12-12.  We shall see!

The very talented and sweetest ever Rita of Clifton Photography took these and I’m in love with ALL of them.  I usually have a shoot of myself for family or for work and if I get 100 images back, I’ll be lucky if I like 10.  This was not the case. 🙂

She captures the light so beautifully!  Can’t wait to share these with Iz when she’s older, but for now I’ll settle with having her here to put these shoesies on and see her play with her crochet elephant.

Outfit change!  The bump pops out a bit more with this dress and I love Jesse’s dad shirt!  Can’t wait until he lays eyes on his little girl.

“Ya better not mess with MY princess!”

I haven’t posted lots of baby stuff because I know this is a wedding planning blog but I just had to share!  I hope you’ve enjoyed a sneak peek into our personal lives.  Thanks again to Rita!  So in love and so ready!

Happy, happy week everyone!

Candy Buffets + Favors

Candies are always appreciated by guests whether it be in a candy buffet or as favors.  We’ve had a good number of events with candy buffets and let me tell you, they are almost always demolished!  We have our spots on where to buy and just recently we tried out Superior Nut Company.

We tried their cotton candy jelly beans and used them as favors and of course everyone loved them.  I have my favorite flavors and cotton candy is definitely up there.

As soon as I start thinking the candy buffet trend is over, I find out I’m always wrong.  There really isn’t ever an event where we have left overs.  They also have all the flavors and colors to go with your event.  And if you’re not into jelly beans, they offer a lot of other selections.  We’re thinking we have to do something with gumballs next!   Can you tell I have a sweet tooth?

Happy 12-12-12!

Blush Pink, Golds & Gray Chevron Baby Shower

A little over a month ago, we had a baby shower that was pretty sweet if I must say so myself.  I have to totally say thanks to Andrea and Rocio as well as Leslie of Fantasy Frostings.  Here are a couple shots of Isela’s baby shower.

Just like her room, we had grays, blushes and touches of gold with chevron and our DIY glitter vases that we blogged about here.  Andrea spray painted these cute elephants which are now in Iz’s room.  Now for the dessert table.  Makes me want to go back for the lemon poppy seed cake from Fantasy Frostings and the cupcakes from Rocio!

And of course, we had to have a champagne bar with vintage goblets that each guest could keep!

Happy Friday!

One Day in December – 2012

Design by Cris of Kiss My Tulle

Hi friends!  This time of year always brings personal posts and so here I am recapping accomplishments from this year.  A group of friends, TWIPS, did this last year and here was my post

This year has lots of different recaps and things I’m thankful.  It’s funny to see the strides and the differences.  With ups and downs just like everyone else, I still believe everything happens for a reason and I’m thankful to God, family, and friends for being so supportive.

#1. I’m thankful for my husband, our marriage and the blessing which we are about to receive any day now.

I am officially past my due date and I want Ms. Isela to be here already.  I can’t wait to snuggle with her, small and kiss her little lips.

#2. My friends and family like mentioned before.  Always supportive with my personal and business life.  One of my best friends is my business partner in life.  That’s how amazing they are.

#3. My couples, my business.  I always have couples that come from different walks of life and I always happen to build great relationships.  Some more than others but all of them are special and deserving of the love they have for each other.  We also have a new intern-turned assistant who’s pretty awesome and another new member of the JW team who I can’t wait to introduce once our re-launch happens early next year.

In regards to my business, I feel like this upcoming year is going to be full of excitement.  We’re planning a re-branding and all sorts of plans we are GOING TO MAKE HAPPEN.  I know with a baby it sounds like it might be harder, but I think it just makes everything complete.  That’s a great feeling.

We got published in Style Me Pretty on Valentine’s Day this year and we are hoping to get published lots more this upcoming year.  Which leads me to shoots.  I didn’t do as many as I wanted this year so we have lots to show you next year, including some of our work from this year.

So many things to do, but so much passion and excitement!  It’s definitely going to be a busy year!

As you can see I love IG.  For personal and wedding updates, follow me on Instagram here!
