Brides’ Choice Award 2013

2013 is off to a great start!  We’ve been gone over the holidays and are eager to start blogging regularly.  In the meantime, we have been talking to couples who are newly engaged and sending out proposals.  It’s that time of the year!

Over the break we also got news that we received Wedding Wire’s Bride’s Choice Awards for 2013!  WE cannot begin to say how thankful we are to our past couples.  Thank you, thank you for working with us and leaving the best reviews!

Cheers to a new year!  Hope 2013 is off to a great start and that it surpasses your 2012 goals and expectations!

To celebrate a new year and look back at 2012, here are a couple of our favorite shots from our 2012 weddings.  We are so thankful for our clients and the love we get during and after their big days.  We can’t be any more lucky and are looking forward to our couples this upcoming year.

Pantone Color of 2013 :: Emerald

As you may or may not know the Pantone color of 2013 is…emerald!

I’m fond of it because it’s my birthstone but not completely sold on using it in weddings with the exceptions of a few color schemes.  I think it goes great with blacks and golds so I’ll be working on some palettes with these colors.  In the meantime, here is some gorgeous emerald inspiration.

It’s such a bold color!  It’s starting to grow  on me but again, it has to be used in the right combo.  Agree or disagree?

Inspiration Board :: Champagne, Raspberry, and Gold!

This week we have lots of eye candy via inspiration boards.  You’ll notice we are smitten with golds!  This board has a bit of it a mix of bold and soft colors and a hint of mint!  It was made for a couple who’s tying the knot this coming May.

Inspiration Board :: Emerald Green + Gold

From last week’s post about Pantone’s color of the year here, we’ve made an inspiration board with our favorite emerald green color combination.  What color combo?  Emerald green and gold!  I actually love it too!  Greens are usually paired with blacks but I love the sifter side of this scheme and well, I just happen to have a thing for gold.
