Bean Love!

Via Punam Bean

Aren’t these some cute tats? Yup, these are Punam Bean and her hubby’s matching tats! I just love her photography. What I love more is that she gets personal with her blog sometimes. She even shows you how she started her wedding photography business while away from her husband 90% of the time, thus, the telephone tats! Pretty harsh! I don’t know if I could hang being away from my hubs thaaat long… Read on: http://lonelypoo.squarespace.com She’s hilarious!

A couple weeks before our engagement, we decided we’d get matching tattooed rings. He got his, I still haven’t gotten mine and won’t until he remembers and insists on it! I already have three other tats so I don’t mind, but I want to see him really want me to have it. So far, it’s a no-go!

Here they are! Well at least his! It looks pretty squiggly in the picture and in real life. I think we were kind of tipsy when we “designed” his. It’s supposed to be a “JW”…I know…doesn’t look like it! It’s upside down in this pic too, so please, use your imagination! LoL!

I just emailed this to my hubs last night and he copied it on to his desktop wallpaper! I think maybe that meant he agreed? ♥ I love Le Love! *Le sigh!*

Oooh and once again, if you have any wedding, e-session, and/or trash the dress shoots you’d like featured or anything at all related please email me at wendylmed at gmail dot com!

Addicted to…

Once again, I am so addicted to Le Love that it inspred me to share this:

This was us @ the Santa Monica Pier pre-engagement:

We had had a fallout, and this was the day I had decided to move back in with him. He took me to dinner and we walked around. I pleaded him to take a photobooth picture with me, and he, as always is the case, refused! He wanted to get on the ferris wheel so we made a deal, photobooth for ferris wheel? Done.

Ferris wheel time came and…

It was the best feeling knowing that I was coming back home to someone who wanted to spend the rest of their life with me!

*Now do you see why we just had to have a photobooth at our wedding? I would’ve had a ferris wheel too if I could have. He asked me to be his wife on a ferris wheel because our first kiss ever was on one @ the Irvine Spectrum exactly three years from then. Aren’t you just melting? =) I kinda am all over again…

Welcome

to Earth little one!!!

She’s so precious! Makes me want to have one (for like 10 seconds). We visited Donna and Raquel last night and we started talking about starting a familia. Jesse’s ready, I…am not. I want to travel and focus on this biz! I want to enjoy our married life before we jump into this life-changing, child-bearing experience. I’m sure it will be amazing and I kind of can’t wait, but I can. We came to a conclusion that we’ll have a little one by 2011. Now who’s to say that’ll really pan out, but hey here’s to hoping!

Wedding What?

Sorry I didn’t post anything these last couple o’ days but it’s been quite hectic!!!

SOOOOO…I don’t think wedding gifts to each other is much of a Latino tradition is it? I never knew until I started reading wedding blogs. That’s where I learned about the groom’s cake too, but I decided that wasn’t necessary and if it wasn’t needed, I wasn’t about to start spending money on it! I have an idea what kind of cake I would’ve gotten for him, but you’ll just have to wait until the hub’s birthday! Yup, gotta wait til April! Sorry!

Back to wedding gifts, I decided I wanted to give my Mr. something special, surprising, and sss-exy! I gave you guys a hint in a previous post, guessed yet?

I started researching everything from boudoir photography to pin-up stuffage and I found Carol and Stacey!!! They are the mastermind ladies behind Iconic Pinups! Carol’s the photographer and Stacey will do your makeup all for an affordable price! My wedding photographer was a guy and I know he’s great but I wanted to feel comfortable so I needed a female photographer. She did an awesome job because the face on my hubs was priceless when I gave him that little black book right before the ceremony! He asked me, “When did you do this?” and “Who took the pics?”. I know he wanted to hear that it was a girl and that only thing on my mind while shooting was HIM! He keeps that book somewhere in his closet and I love the thought that whenever he might need a fix, he’ll look at that book and not at some porn online, haha. Here’s to hoping huh?

Anyways, I was happy with my shoot and would definitely recommend these ladies to fulfill your husband’s fantasies with photos of your sexy self…and you know deep down inside you’ve always wanted to do this for yourself ladies!

How about when I start my photo biz you come to me? I love the pin-up era and yes, I loved making silly (ahem, sexy) faces while sucking some frosting off my forefinger! Rawr! Alright, alright, sticking to the PG-ness of this blog, I’ll show you ONE picture.

The most PG of them all! There’s one in particular that I absolutely love and want to post but I have to wait for approval. Maybe tomorrow?

By the way, Carol Sheridan also does weddings. Visit her site here!

Wedding Dress Tips

I added Amy Michelson to my FB and I got an update with this:

TIP OF THE DAY:

why are mermaid gown shapes so flattering?
the boning and structure of the bodice nips and tucks in all the right places and the flare of the skirt balances out the hips making them look smaller 🙂

Very true!!! I didn’t go for a mermaid gown because I felt like I don’t have the body for it, but my dress certainly did slim me down! The gown I got is considered a “drop-waisted” dress, which means that it fits tight all the way to the middle of your hips and then it begins to open up! It was comfortable and I never had to buy any special spanks to wear under. Perfecto!

I also got an email update from Amy with these gorgeous beauties!

*Le sigh* How romantic! {Grace Gown}

I believe this type of veil is called a mantilla. It’s traditional in Spain and mostly in the catholic religion. It’s very pretty, but I don’t think it’s for me. Duh, I was a no veil bride! {Sweetie Gown & Veil}

This one screams SEXY! {Gold Rush Gown}

Enough of gowns…I think I’m getting my camera next week!!! I CAN’T WAIT!!! =0

Girl Crush

I’ve always liked Milla. Her dress is so simple, yet gorgeous. I think in this case she makes the dress. I love that she chose something simple. Says a lot about her. She looks like a Greek goddess dontcha think?

The first 2 blogs I read today had to do with fights between married people. I love Mrs. Cheese from WeddingBee and she writes on her own blog here. She’s so honest and it’s good to hear that not everyone out there is perfect. She doesn’t candy-coat her sh*t! I never have and never will. I think my first post shows that. My hubby and I aren’t perfect. We’ve gotten to a place right not that is so rock steady I love it!!! BUT, BUTTTTTTTT!!!…it’s taken us a while and I know that it’s not gonna be so easy all the time. I’m wishing Mrs. Cheese all the luck and love in the world!

Let’s stop lying to the people that we love and to ourselves…haha, I thought this shirt was funny!

Have a lovely weekend ya’ll!!!

Lazy Sunday

I just came from a Subway run because that’s whats for dinner and as I was walking to my car, I stood in the middle of the street and there was absolute silence. The roads are still dusty because of the construction, it’s pretty hot for 7 pm, and the light was kinda shining on me, ready for dusk, but not just yet. I called my hubs and asked him to listen with me. There wasn’t even a single swish of a car passing by. I yelled to him, “Where are the zombies?”. Lol. He said, “Don’t go!”, but I left cuz what would we eat if I didn’t?

It also must have something to do with that awful smoke.

I’m not gonna do my usual wedding/photography inspiration thing today, maybe tomorrow because I just kinda, sorta wanted to vent about I dunno….cancer? It’s such a sensitive topic that hits close to home. I’m scared of it. My mom passed because she lost a battle with “it”. Who’s to know who’s gonna get it? Why do people who are the most loving, caring people (at least in my life) seem to get it? Why? Why? WHY?

I got some bad news today about a close family friend. She’s known she has some type of lung cancer even before my mom passed back in MAY! She didn’t want my mom to know so she didn’t tell us. I found out through my sister, and I’m not supposed to know. She’s getting radiology but has denied getting chemotherapy and sh*t, I don’t blame her. I’ve told myself if I ever get such thing…I’m not getting treated with something that’s going to eventually kill me. I’ll go organic and holisitic, and ifI still go that way..I’ll go that way. I want to reach out to her, but I’m still trying to figure out how I’ll go about it…

With this in mind, life is short. I’ve decided I’m renovating my kitchen and living life a day at a time. I know that the kitchen thing is minimal, but I want to move on things. I want our house done! I also know that the “living life one day at a time” is cliche but seriously…I need to get my stuff together!!! And, if a baby comes, it will come as a blessing and yes, I’ll be ready! I’m not going to set timelines. Just move head-on, full speed and maybe chill on the “party girl” label I’ve had since my leash was let go off back in 2000 when I got into UCLA.

And with that I leave you with this:
