Feliz Cinco de Mayo!

Louboutin Love – Wedding Shoes!

If I weren’t so tall and clumsy, I’d wear heels all the time, but alas, I am both!  Louboutin was just at his West Hollywood store about 2 weeks and I lurv his shoes!  Here’s a mini-tribute!

Loubs too!

Black lace over a pretty pink.  I love black lace!  I can see a bride wearing these and the groom wearing chucks!

Shoe want color?

Even if I’d want to, I just couldnt!  Almost 2 years ago, the huz and I were going to dinner at Yamashiro up in the Hollywood Hills and if anyone knows, there are some stairs for the outside bar and well…

I wore ALDO flip flops to my wedding and now you know why.

Happy shoe shopping!  Ha!

J. Crew Dresses!

Andrea’s covered her bridal week picks before and I’ve always been glued to Amy Michelson but I thought I’d give J. Crew some cred.  One of my couples back in February was looking for something already made and thought about J. Crew.  We weren’t impressed with all their selections so she opted for something else but I did like these:

I LOVE the tiered one!  Oh and I love this clutch!

BM dresses too!

J. Crew has it all, but does it have what you’re looking for?  I think most of their choices are a bit plain for my taste but I would totally do one of these.  For the BM dresses, most offer different colors so if you choose a bright color, that pop will make the dress in my opinion and your girls can wear them again and again.  I’ve also been noticing a lot of Anthropologie dresses for BMs.  Might have to do a post just on Anthro, I love that store!

Happy Friday

Thought I’d share some pictures from my trip!  It’s been pretty difficult getting back into the daily grind.  I think my work week officially started on Tuedsay but it’s great to know if you work hard, you can reap your rewards in a place like this!
Here you are, enjoy & happy Friday!

Ikea Adventures

Call me crazy but last Friday I went to Ikea because I needed some stuff for my house and low and behold I was inspired.  There are so many inexpensive things in there besides the infamous Ung Drill that can be used for a wedding.

This is the Ung Drill in case you didn’t know its name.

You can paint it any color and ta-da, but I’m sure you’ve seen that because it’s been around the blogosphere for a while now.

Here are my finds!  Table numbers?

Both $0.99!

I love that they have a lot of colorful items.  These vases as centerpieces would look fab.  I love pops of color!

These were place mats.  Imaging tying up enough to make a wall for your photobooth area?  Mmm hmmm!

They have chandeliers like this one and I loved the lace panels…so many possibilites.

These are $5 bucks!  With tea lights or blooms inside, you can hang them or use them as part of the centerpieces.  They don’t only come in these colors, LOOK:

I had way too much fun but had to run out because I got a phone call about a lost dog…my lost Lola!  I hope this inspires you too!  What’s your favorite item or store that always inspires you the minute you walk in?

All iPhone photos by me and the most awesome Shake-it app!

Spruce it up!

I’m back!  After this weekend’s wedding I had to lay low because I thought I was getting sick.  What’s up with this weather?!  At least the rain gods heard my prayers!

On to Tuesday Shoesday!

You have a pretty shoe?  Like this:

Via BCBG

It’s gorgeous and all but you can make it prettiER!  I found these ETSY stores that have shoe clips that would totally do the trick and make em’ fancier!

There are 49 pages of shoe clips so you have sooooo many to choose from.  Absolutely Audrey has some cute ones as well.  This Tuesday Shoesday is definitely taking a toll on my pockets, lol!

Come back tomorrow for a real wedding we had last month!  Bright & earthy DO go together, you’ll see!

Real Wedding – Jenn & Adam

Here’s a most sweetest wedding from last month.  Dacia of Dacia Lamb Photography was kind enough to share her pictures with us right away.  Jenn was full of creativity and I loved how their personalities shined through all the decor.

Jenn did an awesome job with the bouquets & we finished the job up with the centerpieces.

They bought the bridesmaid dresses at J.Crew and dyed them themselves, say what?   How ridiculously perfect!  Now meet Jenn & Adam!

Both the lookers!

Vintage books, brass goblets, and terrariums were placed throughout this gorgeous venue.

Delicious Kiss My Bundt cakes were served, 4 of them to be exact!

Grandma’s homemade strawberry rhubarb jam!  Such a personal sentiment to share with the guests!

May your lives be filled with lots of happiness for the rest of your lives!
