Busy Bees!

Craziness has taken over recently so I’ve asked a couple blogger friends to guest blog for us!  We have some amazing peeps that are going to share some of their love with us and we are beyond thrilled!

This past weekend was Britt of Bowie Bride’s wedding and it was truly an amazing day!  The entire wedding was so full of…Britt + Mike!  They personalized their wedding down to the bone!  Here’s a teaser:

Their vows: emotional + yes, kick-ass!  Britt looked hawt in her short Deb Linquist  piece and Mike was looking like a handsome devil!  I know people wanted teasers on twitter, haha, sorry!  Here’s all that you’re getting.  Happy honeymooning Britt + Mike!

And in other news: the invite is up for the Last Minute Bride Launch benefiting Wish Upon a Wedding, so get your tickets on and join us for a night of charity and love!

Guest Blogger: Erin of Sparkle & Hay!

Welcome Erin of Sparkle & Hay!

Hello Wenderful readers;  Erin from Sparkle & Hay here!   I was thrilled when Wendy asked me to be a guest blogger for her – hopefully I will not disappoint!

As a bride-to-be (October 2010) I know how exciting the wedding planning time is, and also how overwhelming it can be!  With so many wonderful sources of wedding inspiration out there it seems as though you are constantly bombarded (in a good way) and can easily go into wedding design overload.  Newly engaged, it sometimes takes a couple a bit of time to figure out their “wedding style”; this was the case with my fiancé &I.  He wanted the large, traditional wedding involving all of our friends and family while I preferred the idea of a smaller more intimate destination wedding, hearinga villa in the countryside of Tuscany or farmhouse in Provence beckoning to me.  We ended up compromising, and found a beautiful vineyard about an hour from home in Stonington, CT which will allow us to invite all of our nearest and dearest while also providing a destination atmosphere.  The vineyard is set on an inlet of the long island sound and has 100 acres of salt marsh, trees, and of course, grapevines.  The actual building is a WWII aircraft hangar with fantastic raw energy, a rustic yet utilitarian feel – idea for me to bring in provincial touches to soften it up.  So I took to the internet and began bookmarking and printing images of other weddings and details that I liked.  This is what prompted me to start my own wedding blog – Sparkle and Hay.  Initially the blog was truly going to be an organizational tool for me to compile all of the beautiful (rustic chic) images and ideas from around the web which inspired me for my wedding.  A blog seemed the easiest way to store this information, and to share it with friends, family, and all of the wonderful vendors we have partnered with, as a bonus, it almost created a planning diary for me to have and look back at after our big day.  So what is rustic chic?   To give you a peak of what it will mean for my big day,  here is an inspiration board for my Provencal Rustic Chic Wedding:

And because I love them so much, I also wanted to share with you our fantastic save the dates created by Lucinda Wesson of Chocolate Creative Design & photographed by Anna Sawin.  To set the stage, each of our guests received a little burlap pouch meant to resemble a vintage feed sack.  In it were clues for what they can expect on our big day; wine corks for the vineyard,  Provencal lavender & a piece of wheat, along with a paper airplane folded from a page of a French love poem book – altogether rustic chic!

So now that I’ve shared my style – tell me about yours!  What do you envision your wedding day to look like and where do you draw your inspiration from?

Thanks for sharing a piece of you Erin!

Happy Friday!

Busy looks like me forgetting to schedule posts.  No biggie.

I haven’t Le Loved you recently so here you go!

and a sneak peak of tomorrow’s wedding!  This was JUST their rehearsal!

Happy Weekend!  Enjoy the sun, it’s going to be a hot one!

Guest Blogger: Lydia of Ever Ours!

Welcome Lydia of Ever-Ours!

Lydia here, from Ever Ours.  Many thanks to Wendy for asking me to guest blog here. I get to blog about so many gorgeous weddings and adorable engagement sessions and share them with you all.  To add a little twist, my blog titles are usually lyrics from love songs.  Music has been a huge part of my life and I love that music tends to be a huge part of the wedding day.  What do you listen to while you get ready, what plays during the ceremony, what about during cocktails, the reception dinner and how about while on the dance floor?  I’ve put together a few of my favorite lovey-dovey songs.  One from the era I was suppose to be born in and another that not many think of when coming up with mixes.  Enjoy!

Thanks Lydia!  Go on over to check out her blog!  It’s amazing & full of eye candy!

Guest Blogger: Erin of Dandelion & Grey!

Welcome Erin of Dandelion & Grey to the blog!

Hello! I am Erin from Dandelion & Grey and I want to thank Wendy so much for having me here today to guest blog! I’ve been a huge fan of Wendy & her blog for a while now and I’m honored to be here!

I have created three inspiration boards for a sweet french countryside wedding. I’m currently taking French lessons, so I’ve definitely had France on the mind and can’t wait to take a trip there next year!

The first board shows the lovely setting for the fete. I’m imagining overgrown roads leading up to a gorgeous chateau. The reception would take place beneath a tent, all aglow with string lights, and set up with comfy antique couches and pillows.

The second board shows the pretty details of the wedding.  Mis-matched china, charming vintage-inspired paper goods, and rusty jars of lavender. Of course it wouldn’t be complete without a delicious macaron tower in lieu of a cake!

My third board shows the attire. Ruffles, tulle, and blush tones work perfectly in the natural setting, as does the stunning hammered gold ring with a beautiful stone.

I hope you find inspiration in these images! Thank you again, Wendy! xoxo

Guest Blogger: Sofia & André of BrancoPrata!

Welcome Sofia and André of Brancoprata!  They are an amazing duo all the way from Portugal!  They are incredibly talented and you’ll see a tiny bit of what I mean here.
Hello Everyone! We are Sofia and André from Brancoprata. First of all, we would like to thank Wendy  for having us guest post on Just Wenderful (such an inspiring blog and definitely a daily read of ours). Today we wanted to share one of my all time favorite things to do on a wedding: a place where your guests can leave you some love notes!

For this post we were inspired by the fact that we are in two different continents (Brancoprata is in Portugal and Just Wenderful is in the USA). It’s quite often to have guests from out of town so what better way than to use that on your guest book/table!!

Each guest can leave a note fixated (with a colorful pin) on their exact location!

To decorate the table you can use different and fun things like magnifying lens, kites, globes and flowers!

A really easy thing to do, you only need to buy a map, some pins and print some of these cards.

You can also use this for favor inspiration!

We bought (in a local supermarket) some tiny globes and put them in some colorful boxes and there we go, a sweet favor to hand over your guests.

Enjoy

YES!  They made a download for this and I think it’s beyond creative!  Make sure you hop on over to their blog to take a peek at all their fab posts.

Sofia and André: Thank you so very much!

Inspiration Board – Outdoor Vintage

Vintage

I love the thought of a single cake tier with cupcakes!  All the images are soft with that vintage feel which makes me seriously consider a vows renewal shin dig, now if I can convince the hubs!
