Inspiration Board: Pink, Purple, & Navy!

m +b

We created this board for a couple next year and due to the choice of her awesome venue, her color scheme has changed!  I love the new scheme but in the meantime I thought I would share this one!  We’re definitely still incorporating some of these but the overall look will take on a much brighter note which goes totally in hand with the location.  I’ve been wanting to work on a wedding here and you don’t know how ecstatic I am, they chose this one.  Want to guess which venue I’m referring to?  Hint:  It’s in Long Beach!  What’s your guess?

Engagement: Ken + Reagan

This lovely engagement shoot was shot by Sherri J Photography and I just LOVE this first pic!  Cute trailer!

It took place in Malibu in the same spot they had their first date and also where he proposed!  Cute!

Head on over to Sherri’s blog to see more of this cute e-sesh!  Thank you for sharing Sherri!

J + J Wed!

This weekend was pretty fab with a wedding I knew would be amazing.  J + J are so in love and Drew and Chad of Shade Tree Films captured it beautifully.  There wasn’t a dry eye in the room!  If any of you couples are looking for videographers who will blow your mind, they are certainly your guys!  Can’t wait to share their love story with you.  In the meantime, the day was busy and these were the only shots I got of some of the special details from their day.

This first shot was from the ceremony site.  I love, just LOVE how it turned out!

What say you?

This was a surprise groom’s cake by Fantasy Frostings.

The Image is Found captured their day and I’m dying to see it all!  Nate tweeted some pictures and I want to share, should I?  I think I’ll have one up for this week’s Happy Friday.  Let’s see if the newlyweds get to sneak in my teasers all the way from Italy!

Congrats again J + J!

Happy Friday!

As promised a teaser from this past Saturday’s wedding shot by the incredible husband and wife team, Image is Found.

They had their first look in downtown LA at The Standard.  This shot.  Amazing!  Happy Friday loves!

Does it have to be White?

I say no…I was looking over dresses and the ones that caught my eye were mostly non-white.  I remember dress shopping myself and the one I fell n love with was more platinum than white.  Why didn’t I get it?  Because everyone around me convinced me it was too formal for a beach wedding, which it was.  These are some gorg dresses I found that are not white but SO hot!

This one’s super inexpensive too!  Is it more prom-ish than bridal though?

Oh Vera!  This one is not inexpensive but oh-so-pretty!

I would sooo do this especially if you’re brides have dresses that go well with this blush color palette.

This Oscar de la Renta isn’t a bridal gown per se but I could see it being one – especially for the Spring!  Oh and I found the one dress I loved at Alfred Angelos.

Definitely not beachy and now that I look back, I’m not so crazy about the skirt.  I think I loved how it flattens the tummy with the drop waist.  So would you go for a non-white bridal gown or will you stick to the traditional white/ivory?  And, in honor of bridal market in NYC and me wanting to be there so bad, this week will be about dresses!

Bridal Market Trends for 2011

The market isn’t even in over and I hear the Marchesa collection was today!  I know I’m going to drool over this laptop when I sit down and look at every other designer.  The bridal market in NYC this weekend seemed to have some short numbers and lots of assymetrical.  Let’s take a peek!

This one’s Ines Di Santo – but is it too casual?   I love this one but I can see it being more of a cocktail dress.

Now for some assymetrical:

I love this Alfred Angelo!

These are seriously just a few out of the hundreds I’ve seen and loved!  What do you think about these trends?  Yay or nay?  More trends to come tomorrow!

More on Bridal Trends!

My eyes have been glued watching updates from the bridal market and from our post yesterday, short dresses are still everywhere.  Tulle and flowy, light fabrics are also seen on lots of gowns.  I remember there was a time when we were so done with tulle.  It’s baaack!
Here are more short dresses I loved!

Both of these are Chaviano Couture, pictures from Weddings Unveiled.  That second one has pockets too!

Here are some gowns with lots of tulle/organza fabric.  Flowy and dreamy, le sigh!

Both the last two are Ines Di Santo.  This next one will blow your hats off!
Priscilla of Boston
Say what?  Isn’t it amazing?
I loooooove Ines Di Santo!  Priscilla of Boston and Anne Barge are definitely up there too.  We;re also seeing a lot of encrusted jeweled dresses and mermaid cut dresses.  More tomorrow!  Hoping to catch some Marchesa goodness!
