Party Caterer – How To Choose A Caterer

Made for a couple tying the knot in November.  Their venue has a lofty, barn feel with brick and textured wood which was loooove-ly!  Last minute changes have caused them to change venues!  Now we’re working on something new for them and excited to see final results and how similar or way different it’ll be to this board!

Engagement :: Justin + Lisa

This is such an adorable engagement session, I had to feature it!  Plus, I met Sarina not to long ago and she’s just a doll!

Meet Justin!

and Lisa!

Le sigh right?  I love that they took pictures with their pups!

The pups, the field, the light, the love…the balloons!

I’ll finish it off with two of my favorites!

Congrats Justin and Lisa!  Many thanks to the awesome Sarina of Sarina Love Photography for sharing with us!

Blissful Wishes Ball 2011

Happy Thursday!

We had a Wish Upon a Wedding board meeting this past Tuesday and just realized I haven’t posted this!  It’s a must-go!  I’m not just saying because I’m part of the board but because there will be a design challenge and live/silent auctions with prizes that are just ridiculous!  If that’s not tempting enough(and you have a huge heart), you have to come and support a great organization.  Click on the link above to learn more!

Fingerprint Wedding Band?

 Yes, please!

I saw this ring on Love and Lavender, photo by Logan Cole, and I had to find out where it came from!  There are a couple of Etsy sellers that offer this and I’m totally in love with this idea.  As a matter of fact, my husband lost his band 3 months after our wedding and has a fake one he’s been wearing.  This just might be the perfect band to replace it!

Love this!  Unique and definitely special!

Savor LA :: Just Wenderful Foodistas!

I found a picture on the web from almost a year ago from the Savor LA: Desserts and I wanted to share!

As you can tell (on our hands), we’re foodies and are always out and about looking for exciting new vendors to tell our clients about.  We’ll taste anything for you!  Last year we fell in love with Gotta Have S’more.  Delicious and bite-sized, they’re perfect for a dessert buffet or as favors!

We had them recently at another event and I personally, love them!  Last week I was invited to the second Savor LA: Pairings event, but Andrea is in the middle of finals and essays and couldn’t make it, so the hubby got to come with me.  I think our favorite was the delicious agua chile from Mas Malo.  We’ve been there before and I’m in love with their soggy chips.  Imagine chewy chips.  Yum!  Also, just like some weddings are using mason jars for their guests:

Via Fashion Intel
VEEV Acai vodka were mixing their drinks right in front of you and handing them in these cute jars!  See, the wedding industry are trend setters too!
That’s my Savor LA recap!  Looking forward to the next one!

We Love Shop Sweet Lulu!

We just placed an order from one the cutest shops around!  Shop Sweet Lulu is a curated online shop that has the sweetest collections.  You can definitely plan a kid’s party with all the cute details in there but there are also items, like the straws, that you can add to any special event!

Just for fun, planning a polka dot party?  Use these:

Fun right?  We love it!  How can you incorporate such cuteness in a wedding?  Easy peasy!

Just a few ideas…now go run and check out the shop!

Happy Friday!

One of the best thank you’s we get are glowing reviews from our brides!  I just received a thank you card from one of our March couples and it was so heart-warming!

The inside was covered with grateful words and the review she left for us made our day!

Hiring Just Wenderful to coordinate my wedding was the best choice I ever made. They were just absolutely AMAZING!!!! They went above and beyond my expectations and I will be making sure all of my friends getting married in the near future receive their business card!

Wendy was my coordinator and she was so easy to work with. Not only is Wendy smart, sweet and extremely knowledgeable, but she actually listened everything I had to say. Wendy was a great asset when it came to finding a venue and vendors. Wendy was also great at making sure that were within budget (or at least telling me when I wasn’t), staying on a scheduling plan, and taking my ideas and making them even better than I could have imagined!
The day of my wedding ran SO smoothly. All I really had to do was get dressed, because I knew that Wendy and her partner, Andrea, had everything under control. It was so relieving to know that I could trust them to do a wonderful job. Words cannot express how awesome Just Wenderful was at making my day the most memorable day of my life! Thank you so much for everything Wendy and Andrea too!!!

We love what we do and we love our clients!  We have yet to show you all of this wedding which is coming soon too!

Have a wonderful weekend!  Looking forward to C + F’s big day tomorrow!

Save the Date Video!

Good morning!  Hope everyone’s weekend went great!  I have a little special video that I found through this amazing picture iPhone app. I’m kind of addicted too…Instagram.  Anyone have it?  Look for me if you do!  I followed a link to a Save the Date video and I fell in love!  Most importantly, the bride-to-be Kelly, edited all herself!  Ready?

Enjoy!

Amazing right? That song is perfect too! Here’s a little blurb on how they met!

Last summer my friend Rachel and I decided to gather some friends together to see Inception in theaters and our mutual friend, Josh, had just met Charles and invited him along so he could meet some new friends. Little did he know, he’d be meeting his future wife instead. 🙂 We all hung out after the movie and Charles and I just clicked and the rest is history. 🙂 Since then we’ve dealt with being apart for 2 months straight in separate countries while he traveled, made a big move from Idaho to Texas together & have gotten engaged.
Kelly, thanks for sharing!  Hope y’all love it as much as we do!

LA Events!

I’m torn!  There are two great events I want to share with you AND go to but they’re on the same date!  Oh, what to do?

First, do you pin on Pinterest?  If so:

I do!  If you need an invite, leave a comment and I’ll send you an invite.  The other event is in the other side of town!

The Confetti Lab at The Wedding Pantry!  Tough choices here!  On the bright side, have a Happy Wedding Wednesday!

Not Hiring a Videographer?

I know I didn’t.  To this day, I’m not sure if I’m going to regret it or not but in retrospect, I think it would’ve been nice.  I’m sure I wouldn’t be watching it over and over and it probably would be collecting dust like my quince VHS.

Whether you’re not sure if you want or maybe it’s a budget deal, Mike, from StoryMix Media can help!  They send you a flip cam, you assign someone to video the most important parts and they edit it for you.  This is what one of our couples in March did and they were completely pleased with the results.  Here’s the teaser (short version) of their video.

What do you think?  How important is having a videographer at your event? A special thanks to Mike who has been so wonderful to work with!
