Travel Tuesday :: Lijiang, China

On this Travel Tuesday, I bring you a little wanderlust love. For those who know me, know my love for travel and my constant desire to experience different cultures. Back in 2011, I had the opportunity to spend a summer in Shanghai and while I was there, I was able to travel around China. This post is specifically inspired by my visit to the province of Yunnan and the city of Lijiang, which was absolutely beautiful! The charm of Old Town Lijiang is like no other and the people are nothing short of amazing.

A visit to Yunnan province is not complete until you visit Jade Dragon Snow Mountain, a sacred mountain to the Naxi ethnic minority group. So as I made my way over to the mountain and explored Jade Water Village, I captured this lovely bride and groom taking their wedding pictures…

And with the natural beauty and amazing backdrops that surround Jade Mountain, it’s no wonder why I witnessed this couple–I would take my wedding and/or engagement pictures here in a heartbeat.

Here are a few more images, I captured on my visit…

Happy Travel Tuesday!

  1. You are quite an adventurous person just like me. You know I love travelling to the adventurous venues. I got married at a unique adventurous venue that was incredibly beautiful too. All thanks to my event management firm that suggested me that venue!
