Must Watch: Surprise Proposal Preview!

This has been floating around on the interwebs and I had to share this with all of you!

Probably one of my favorite proposals I have ever seen!  I have to admit I got a little teary-eyed!  Anyone have a story that can top this?  I’d love to hear it!

Happy Friday everyone!

Billy Ball Love!

I wrote some flower inspiration posts about certain buds that I am totally in love with.  Ranunculus and peonies are two of my favorite.  Today it’s all about the billy ball!

These yellow poms last forever, they’re not too pricey, and they’re just gorgeous!

In a bouquet with succculents!  This mix is perfection!  Meg from La Partie Events made this next beauty.  I’ve worked with her before and I am in love with her style!

This next one’s via James Carson who I’ve also worked with and is an amazing photog!

They really don’t need much.  Look at them as boutonnieres!

Stephanie Williams

So many pretty possibilities!  Love them as much as we do?

Sue Wong Bridal Spring 2011

One of our more popular posts was on Sue Wong‘s dresses and today we have some more!  I love her style!  Mae West and Jean Harlow reminiscent, Sue uses bead work and feathers in her dresses.  Unique and completely affordable!

I also love her cocktail dresses which can work out perfectly for your bridesmaids!

They have this blush one in white too, so if you’re a short dress kinda bride, this one would look fab!

Love it?  We do!

Happy Friday!

 This definitely makes me happy.

Followed with one of our July couple’s smiles on their faces when they see their mock set-up!  Can you imagine this teaser times 100 beautiful details?  Can’t wait for July!  Have a great & safe Memorial Day weekend everyone!

Modern Glam Mini-shoot!

Back in March, Shannon Lee of Shannon Lee Images and I were asked to collab for Valley & Co. on a mini-shoot that ended up being inspiration for a head table but can also be used for a bridal shower.  Soft and sweet, but glammed up and yummy!

We prettied up a table with white garden roses, anemones, and pink hydrangea on some gorgeous vintage milk-glass.

The linens we had were already fabulous, but we added black Russian netting as a runner which edged it up a bit and was a perfect combination with the anemones!

We also had the most yummiest (and gorgeous looking) macarons from Bottega Louie.

Now, for the dessert hutch!  With more antique rentals being brought in, if you have a special piece of furniture that stands out, why not make it part of your big day?  If the bridal shower is at your place, then why not use it?  It adds such a cute, unique touch!

We hope you guys loved it as much as we did!  Thanks to Shannon for taking the beautiful shots!

Inspiration Boards: Ombre

I have a couple of very talented blogger/industry friends who have helped me create these fabulous inspiration boards!  I focused on ombre because I love the way it looks!  Remember Gwen Stefani’s wedding dress?  That’s a perfect example.  Here is the exact definition of ombre according to FabSugar:

Ombre
n. A French term meaning “shaded.” Usually a multicolored stripe, with colors graduating from light to dark. The color effect is woven into the fabric. Generally produced by arranging different tones in the warp.

All the way from white to pink, here’s our rendition of ombre boards!  Hope you enjoy!

Get to Work!

Little things like this in my office make me happy!

My love bug Andrea gave it to me last year.  Behind this vintage typewriter is a photo strip from my hubs and I at the Santa Monica Pier right after he popped the question.  Here’s to having a great Monday even though they sometimes {mostly} DRAG!  …and also, what’s up with this weather?  ๐Ÿ™

There’s an awesome post coming tomorrow!  Promise it’s good with some fab ladies making an appearance!

Happy Friday!

Hello!  Hope you’re all having a fabulous Friday!  I saw this and couldn’t help but share and cross my fingers that one day one of my couples do this!

If you have a big bridal party, and don’t want it to look so uniformed and so “Quinceanera-ish”, having different hues of the same colors works.  THIS also works in my opinion!  What say you?  Look at the full post on Bridal Musings!  Laura Murray Photography

Happy Friday everyone and don’t forget the bridal hanger giveaway ends this Wednesday!

P.S. Anyone seen the movie Bridesmaids?  Looking forward to catching it soon!

Royal Wedding ReCap

 I thought this was funny.

I was born in 1982 and safe to say, I had a crush on Prince William until he started balding up quickly!  I didn’t stay up to watch the Royal Wedding but what did you guys think?

First dress:

Beautiful, but I would’ve liked to see more.  I think it suits her personality though and that’s what it’s all about.
Same with her second dress:
Both gorgeous!  What I’m also curious to see are her shoes!  Anyone seen them?  Oh and her cake!
Again, simple but fitting!
What were your thoughts?
