Happy Friday!

I forgot where I saw this quote but then I found out it was in a movie called Pierrot le fou (1965).  Played with it in Photoshop and made this!

Thanks to all our past brides who have left reviews, we are Wedding Wire rated!

Have a great weekend everyone!  Excited for not one, but TWO weddings this weekend!

Designing Your Wedding!

After getting engaged, making your guest list and selecting your venue, what comes next?  There are a lot of avenues you can take from here.  Perhaps you know who you just MUST have as a photographer and want to start booking vendors to secure your date OR you can start designing your big day!  This is definitely a good time to start thinking about what you’ve always envisioned in your head and share with each other.  I always suggest to couples to talk about everything from favorite colors to shapes and textures to foods!  Your wedding day is definitely a celebration of YOUR love, so why not add the personal touches that have made you both who you are today.  Appreciate your heritage?  Show it off!  Traveled together a lot?  Name your tables after the places you have visited.  It’s your story, your celebration!

Now that you have selected a venue, the venue also will nod you to the right direction.  Next to beach?  A casual theme will be perfect.  At a 5 star hotel, you’ll usually have a black tie affair!  This can definitely be tough sometimes!  We make inspiration boards for our clients once we get to know them a bit more.

Take a peek at our other inspiration boards and email us if you need help!  Designing is definitely one of our favorite aspects of helping you plan your day!

Santiago de Compostela Wedding

If you didn’t know, you’ll know now that Andrea and I met through a UCLA summer abroad program that took us all the way to Santiago de Compostela.  We talk about it ALL the time and want to go back soon!  It was definitely a life-changing experience and because of this, we had to share this wedding we found via Grace Ormonde with photography from Photogen Inc.

Our Andrea still hasn’t tied the knot yet.  Maybe this will convince her and we’ll have a reason to go back!

So elegant and lovely!

Oh the memories!  For all the photos, visit the fabulous Grace Ormonde!

Etsy Wedding Finds!

We love when we find absolutely adorable and unique things on our favorite marketplace, Etsy!
This is definitely a cute place card idea!

This next one is adorable and affordable!
Here’s something that would be cute smaller as a ring bearer pillow!  Something you can keep at home and remember your day by.

These are fun too!  Perfect gifts for your bridesmaids and you can customize them yourself via White Tulip Boutique.
These are also something your BMs will love!  They can wear them for your wedding and re-use!

What other great finds have you seen off of Etsy?  Do share!

Happy Friday!

Last week we had a mix guest post on Hi-Fi Weddings and we wanted to share because it’s just a feel good, sip on some coffee (or champagne), then have a dance party kind of mix!

Dear husband,

I know you have my blog on your reader.  Think you can build this for me?

Mustard Yellow & Aqua Inspiration Board

Yellow is a great vibrant color that invokes feelings of joy and fun, which makes it a perfect wedding color. In this inspiration board we have focused on a deeper, almost mustard yellow, which brings an element of richness and elegance within the yellow palette. The deep yellow color works great in both indoors and outdoor venues. Further, it transitions beautifully from day to night.

What do you think??

12 Pre-planned Date Nights

I know this is a wedding blog, but it’s also a LOVE blog!  I am totally taking up this idea with my husband!

via Shannon Brown

You write 12 preplanned date nights for you and the mister.  Instead of me doing all the planning, I’m asking Mr. J to write 6.  They can either be free or prepaid and the fun part is to try and do something you’ve never done before.

Shannon also made a scrapbook which is an awesome idea!  I love scrap booking but never have the chance or time to.  Keeping up with this should be easy peasy!

I’ll blog about the progress on this little love project.  Join me!  I’m sure your love bug will enjoy this!

Happy Friday!

I’ve seen lots of dreamy dresses but a dreamy dress and a dreamy veil?  OK, so I’ve seen some awesome ones, but I’m pretty sure this combo is in my top ten!

The Perfect Addition: Wedding Centerpieces

Happy to share one of our intern’s first post!  Welcome Rocio!

Wedding centerpieces are always a great touch to a reception and it is something that your guests will love. They add extra energy to the room and become a wow-factor to your reception tables. As we all know, an arrangement of flowers seems to be the most common centerpiece. Flower centerpieces are beautiful but why not try something unique. Having some type of theme might give you the perfect inspiration for a centerpiece.

There are plenty of ideas for you to choose but no matter what you decide, your centerpieces will absolutely look stunning the day of your wedding.
When it comes to centerpieces, I personally love the ones that included flowers or candles. They look elegant and adorable.  There are also other centerpieces besides the usual flowers and candles that are truly stunning.
