Happy Friday!

I love, love, LOVED this photograph the moment I saw it! As much as I tried to resist, I couldn’t stop at just one image. You’ll have to come back next week to see more of this gorgeous couple! Have a great weekend everyone!

Bridal Market Trends for 2011

The market isn’t even in over and I hear the Marchesa collection was today!  I know I’m going to drool over this laptop when I sit down and look at every other designer.  The bridal market in NYC this weekend seemed to have some short numbers and lots of assymetrical.  Let’s take a peek!

This one’s Ines Di Santo – but is it too casual?   I love this one but I can see it being more of a cocktail dress.

Now for some assymetrical:

I love this Alfred Angelo!

These are seriously just a few out of the hundreds I’ve seen and loved!  What do you think about these trends?  Yay or nay?  More trends to come tomorrow!

More on Bridal Trends!

My eyes have been glued watching updates from the bridal market and from our post yesterday, short dresses are still everywhere.  Tulle and flowy, light fabrics are also seen on lots of gowns.  I remember there was a time when we were so done with tulle.  It’s baaack!
Here are more short dresses I loved!

Both of these are Chaviano Couture, pictures from Weddings Unveiled.  That second one has pockets too!

Here are some gowns with lots of tulle/organza fabric.  Flowy and dreamy, le sigh!

Both the last two are Ines Di Santo.  This next one will blow your hats off!

Say what?  Isn’t it amazing?
I loooooove Ines Di Santo!  Priscilla of Boston and Anne Barge are definitely up there too.  We;re also seeing a lot of encrusted jeweled dresses and mermaid cut dresses.  More tomorrow!  Hoping to catch some Marchesa goodness!

Real Engagement: Nikki + Vahram

This engagement session comes from the lovely ladies at Sweet Monday Photography!  Nikki + Vahram were our last wedding of the year.  Right now they’re in Bora Bora while we’re here stuck in the rain.  Enjoy N+V!
They’re one hot couple huh?  They’re wedding was pretty amazing!  Fun + beautiful just like them!

No props, just LOVE!  This last one, le sigh!  The light is just perfect!

 Sweet indeed!

Make One Big Thing Happen!

Making Things Happen.

I attended the Making Things Happen tour with Lara Casey almost one year ago and so many great things have happened since then!

The point of it all is:  It all starts with you.  YOU have to make decisions, YOU have to conquer those fears, YOU have to make it happen.  Awesome thing is, is that it’s all within…guess what?  You!…that’s if, you really want it.

So to all my friends, you have about 2 weeks to make just ONE thing happen.  I really want to do ONE thing that will propel and jumpstart one or more of my 2011 goals.  Even if it’s not one of your 2011 goals, just a goal, whether it be a personal, business, etc.

I have still to write down my one sentence goal I’m going to get done before 2010 ends, but I promise I’ll be back.  In the meantime, what’s yours?

…and remember this:

Obstacles are those frightful things you see when you take your eyes off your goal.  ~Henry Ford

…and…

Start your sentence with “I will…”.  What will you do before 2010 ends?

Tuesday Shoesday

It’s been a while since we’ve had a Tuesday Shoesday around here but I just had to when I saw these!

Glamorous and extravagant, it screams “It’s my day!”.  This is a Philip Treacy for Valentino collection of Spring 2010.  Philip is a hat designer but this shoe design is pretty perfect for the bride who loves lace and attention!

Here’s one more look:

What say you?  Yay or nay?

Happy Friday!

Have you heard that the color of the year for 2011 is honeysuckle?  According to Pantone, you’re going to be seeing a lot of:

What do you think?  Yay or nay?  I’m pretty partial to pink so this is definitely exciting!  One of our weddings actually has a hue of this honeysuckle.  You can see the board I made for that wedding here and you can read the article here.

Also, I hadn’t really written about the infamous royal wedding but these sketches from designers are pretty gorg and I just had to share!  These were my favorite:

I’m really liking this next one!

This last St. Pucci one is also a favorite!  All via Brides.  Which one’s your favorite?
