Wish Upon a Wedding!

The So Cal gala for Wish Upon a Wedding was last Thursday and the planning committee did an amazing job!  Kudos to them for coordinating such a successful event!  I’m part of the volunteer board and am super proud to be part of this organization.  Not only is this charity part of the industry I love, but we’re doing it for a great cause.  Any terminally ill diseases sit close to my heart because my mom passed away after being diagnosed with Multiple Myeloma.  If I could’ve given my mom anything and everything she wanted before she left, you bet your little hearts I would’ve bent over backwards for her.

I’m also really proud of Lydia of Ever-Ours!  She got recognized with a Shining Star Award along with Angel Monico of Fusion Linens and Youngsong Martin of Wildflower Linens.  Here’s some silliness from SoCal Photobooth:

Can’t wait to see more pictures!  There are so many ways to help out this organization!  Check it out HERE and do something!

Ideas + Inspiration

I’m puppy sitting this adorable thing and because she’s still a baby I have to sleep on the couch with her.   Not so happy about the couch but her puppy smell – I just want to eat her up!

This takes me to two awesome things I’ve ran through while on the internets:
  1. If you’re not afraid to have your face etched on a stamp and use it for invites, STDs, etc., this is a great idea!  This Esty seller gets a picture of you two like so:

and does this!

Cool huh?
     2.  While browsing How About Orange, I read about glass etching.  So easy and you can practically
          sketch anything!
You really must go look!  Looks like an easy DIY project that you can use to personalize your wedding just a tad bit more.

Happy first day of November!  Time is flying by & Christmas is just around the corner!

Thankful for…

I am thankful… for the new people (family, friends, colleagues, and clients!) in my life {like my nephew Abe}:

and old ones {like my nephew Gabriel}.

I’m thankful for every new day:

Puppy kisses:

The simple things in life:

Did I say I’m soooooo thankful for friends yet?  Because I am…:

and definitely this, which leads to being thankful for my health:

…but most importantly, I’m grateful for love!

Happy Thanksgiving/ stretchy pants day everyone!  What are you thankful for?

Bowie Bride’s Rocktastic Wedding!

It’s been a couple months since Britt’s wedding and she has already been featured in plenty o’ places.  The Rock n’ Roll Bride covered it all pretty spectacularly!

Here are some of my favorite of Britt + Mike’s day!

Britt was 100% DIY.  She hand painted wine bottles and added personal touches like this one:

Lovely how Mike looks at his wife-to-be!  This picture right here…says it ALL!

Vows always make me teary-eyed.  This one…as crazy fun as Britt + Mike are, they went straight for our heart strings!  Oh and for dinner, guests had the yummy Kogi truck come by!

After that, it was a par-tay!

Thank you for letting me share Britt and Nicole of Nicole Polk Photography.  I tried to keep it short and sweet because I know Britt’s planning on showing her readers more pictures in her recap posts at The Bowie Bride.
