Happy Friday Review!

I can’t even begin to explain how thankful I am for my clients.  There are so many planners out there that I always believe there is a reason and a certain client just right for you…for me, in this case.  Reviews like these make my day:

We utilized the professional, talented and flawless services of just wenderful for our july 30 2011 wedding and owe the flood of compliments and amazingness to her and her talented team of employees who love what they do and do what they love. from start to finish, wendy(of just wenderful) met and surpassed our expectations. wendy really became a friend and did so much more. always classy, never over the top, wendy really molds to the desires of her clients without being overbearing. her good taste, however, can lend a hand when (as we were guilty of) threw [at our first meeting] a boatload of mish-mashed (not wenderful?) ideas and expected her approval. she put us “in check” (which I appreciated so much) in the best way possible, told us what we needed to hear, directed us to the best vendors and really helped us create the most stunning, fabulous amazing wedding/celebration that both my wife and i couldn’t have ever imagined better. thank you for the amazing, tireless and stick-through-it spirit, Wendy, and thank you for being our friend and helping our dreams become reality. we really do owe it all to you.

So sweet!  I’ve fallen in love with all their images but haven’t gotten them yet but am super excited to share!  The photographers, Stephanie and Isaac of This Modern Romance, are going through some tough times.  Prayers and thoughts their way.
Healing thoughts and happy Friday everyone!  Count your blessings every day!

Basic Cupcake

I think this week might have a lot of “sweet” things in store for you.  First off, I’ve had the pleasure of meeting Kat from Basic Cupcake and she has the cutest cupcake-related items in stock!

Here are a couple of items that I just love!

I especially love these two:

Her stuff is available online as well as in The Wedding Pantry.  I stopped by this Saturday and started playing around with her display.  I want all of these!  I also need another reason to bake when trying to stick to a diet!

If you’re having cupcakes instead of a cake, this is an awesome way to personalize the decor!

Making your Wedding Day Sparkle!

via Tulle and Flora

Sparklers are a great addition to any wedding day they are beautiful, fun and memorable. Two of our recent weddings featured sparklers to accent important wedding moments. Sparklers are most often used during the couple’s first/last dance and their entrance/exit.

It is important in selecting your sparklers to consider the effect that you want. Wedding sparklers can range in size from 10 to 36 inches in length. The shorter the sparkler the shorter the burn time. A 10 inch sparkler has an approximate burn time of 45 seconds, whereas a 36 inch sparkler can lasts up to 5 minutes.

So make sure your sparklers add the sparkle that you want and email us if you’re looking for a trusty online vendor!

Fit for Royalty

As per usual, I have a teaser from this weekend’s wedding.  It was a 300+ wedding with events during the reception that kept us on our toes!  From the awesome MC who was flown from Texas, to the dancers who left the dance floor full, this definitely was a wedding fit for king and queen!

In love with these chairs!

I also wanted to share an event!

Catch us there!  We have a fun little design we’re showing off that day!

Blissful Wishes Ball 2011

Happy Thursday!

We had a Wish Upon a Wedding board meeting this past Tuesday and just realized I haven’t posted this!  It’s a must-go!  I’m not just saying because I’m part of the board but because there will be a design challenge and live/silent auctions with prizes that are just ridiculous!  If that’s not tempting enough(and you have a huge heart), you have to come and support a great organization.  Click on the link above to learn more!

Happy Friday!

I forgot where I saw this quote but then I found out it was in a movie called Pierrot le fou (1965).  Played with it in Photoshop and made this!

Thanks to all our past brides who have left reviews, we are Wedding Wire rated!

Have a great weekend everyone!  Excited for not one, but TWO weddings this weekend!

Designing Your Wedding!

After getting engaged, making your guest list and selecting your venue, what comes next?  There are a lot of avenues you can take from here.  Perhaps you know who you just MUST have as a photographer and want to start booking vendors to secure your date OR you can start designing your big day!  This is definitely a good time to start thinking about what you’ve always envisioned in your head and share with each other.  I always suggest to couples to talk about everything from favorite colors to shapes and textures to foods!  Your wedding day is definitely a celebration of YOUR love, so why not add the personal touches that have made you both who you are today.  Appreciate your heritage?  Show it off!  Traveled together a lot?  Name your tables after the places you have visited.  It’s your story, your celebration!

Now that you have selected a venue, the venue also will nod you to the right direction.  Next to beach?  A casual theme will be perfect.  At a 5 star hotel, you’ll usually have a black tie affair!  This can definitely be tough sometimes!  We make inspiration boards for our clients once we get to know them a bit more.

Take a peek at our other inspiration boards and email us if you need help!  Designing is definitely one of our favorite aspects of helping you plan your day!

Santiago de Compostela Wedding

If you didn’t know, you’ll know now that Andrea and I met through a UCLA summer abroad program that took us all the way to Santiago de Compostela.  We talk about it ALL the time and want to go back soon!  It was definitely a life-changing experience and because of this, we had to share this wedding we found via Grace Ormonde with photography from Photogen Inc.

Our Andrea still hasn’t tied the knot yet.  Maybe this will convince her and we’ll have a reason to go back!

So elegant and lovely!

Oh the memories!  For all the photos, visit the fabulous Grace Ormonde!

Etsy Wedding Finds!

We love when we find absolutely adorable and unique things on our favorite marketplace, Etsy!
This is definitely a cute place card idea!

This next one is adorable and affordable!
Here’s something that would be cute smaller as a ring bearer pillow!  Something you can keep at home and remember your day by.

These are fun too!  Perfect gifts for your bridesmaids and you can customize them yourself via White Tulip Boutique.
These are also something your BMs will love!  They can wear them for your wedding and re-use!

What other great finds have you seen off of Etsy?  Do share!
